I am a Survivor of Sarcoidosis and April is Sarcoidosis Awareness month. Sarc caused me to lose the sight in my left eye and I have 3 friendly ‘Floaters’ floating by to say HI, every now and them.

DIY Eye Brow and Lash Serum
Who wants Longer Thicker Natural EYE BROWS or LASHES? ME TOO! All it takes is patience and 2 highly favored ingredients, lemons and olive oil. Make sure your Olive oil is 100% pure from a reputable distributor to get full benefits.
These 2 ingredients combined offers vitamins E, K, C, A, fatty acids, calcium, anti-microbial properties, omega3, omega6, anti-oxidants and MORE!
Ingredients: 
Lemon
Olive Oil
What you need:
Glass jar with secure lid. (Dark Amber glass jar preferred)
Peeler or knife.
Clean eyelash brush.
Instructions:
1) Take a 1/2 cup of Olive oil and pour into glass jar.
2) Peel 1 lemon.
3) Place the lemon peels in the olive oil and allow the lemon zest to soak for 2-3 days.
Wallah!
Your Eyelash ‘hair growth’ Serum is ready to use.
Add a little serum to your brush and coat a thin layer to your lashes. (avoiding your eyes)
I suggest doing this everyday especially at night.
I even coat my EyeBrows!!

Had I kept my promise to myself

Chocolate Gold
Ever had chocolate gold?
Its more than a flavor that tingles the tongue. It drizzles down your throat and strums your lungs. It plays the piano with your ribs and this type of gold fills your heart valves up so you can live. Chocolate Gold, it’s richer than milk…its the reason why my waist is small and nestled upon my voluptuous hips. My thighs not to far behind as they compliment my high rise. My shoulders are strong and they keep my structure straight. Don’t get it twisted like my locks, I’m educated with this shape. Im authentic from my fro’ down to my feet and I love…..the way God created me, I am Chocolate Gold and Im forever sweet ~ KaLon

Freestyle:
Without My Dad ~ Another year about pass, and I sit here frustrated….waiting feeling depressed and lost ‘without my dad’. I start to feel like I don’t matter, is it because I don’t carry a purse with a big ass, you see that’s what my daddy like & that’s where he spends most of his nights. With her her and them. A few homeboys and some step kids that don’t belong to him. What did I do because I would apologize, you see I may be a kid but I’m a man about mine. Without my Dad how will I learn to love her her and them and one day love my son if you will. I’m so filled with hurt that I act out for attention. All I really want, is for my dad to pay attention. My momma don’t want you and matter fact she’s moved on, yet I’m still stuck like I was just born. Unable to do anything without help. Dad I don’t want your money I need to feel your breath! I need to hear those words! I need to feel your touch! I just need to know that you love me very much! Without my dad’ my I feel unloved Without my dad I feel like giving up! My mom saw my pain and she held me tight. She whispered in my ear softly ‘son you got me f*cked up’ because giving up isn’t an option and you will be a man of standards, integrity, morals, and of God when you grow-up!

Coconut Oil Toothpaste
Do you oil pull? Are you a health conscious junkie who’s always looking for ways to keep harsh man made chemicals out of your body? This article is for you!
I’ve been oil pulling for several months and yes, it works! My teeth are brighter, I haven’t caught any colds, I have less plaque build up and I use Coconut Oil to moisturize my skin and hair. I recently learned about making a toothpaste with Coconut Oil, Baking soda, Xylitol and Essential oils. All of these ingredients are natural and beneficial to our body.
In an earlier article I wrote about Oil pulling with Coconut oil, I explained how it has antibacterial/antimicrobial properties due to it’s high lauric acid content. Coconut oil can be purchased cold-pressed (solid) or liquified. Liquified has 5 more MCT’s (Medium Chain Triglycerides) than the cold press Coconut oil.
Baking soda also have positive effects to the mouth as well. It neutralizes acid loving bacteria that causes cavities, removes plaque, whitens teeth and helps maintain healthy gums. Essential oils such as citrus, peppermint and cinnamon also possess antibacterial properties and adds flavoring to your liking.
Finally, Xylitol which is a natural sweetener and it will give your toothpaste a sweet taste as well as help fight cavities. Xylitol has additional benefits, it is derived from fibrous parts of plants. It maintains and keeps a neutral pH level in the mouth. It helps with keeping bacteria from sticking to the teeth which ultimately prevents tooth decay.
Xylitol repairs damaged enamel. Saliva itself protects the mouth and teeth especially when you manage your sugar intake to a couple of times a day. When your sugar intake is excessive, your mouth’s own defense isn’t enough. Too much sugar causes harm to the body while Xylitol heals and repairs. It also builds immunity, protects against chronic diseases as well as providing anti-aging benefits.
Additional benefits of Xylitol:
1. Clearing nasal infections.
2. Preventing Ear infections.
3. Reducing intraocular pressure.
4. Reducing periodental disease
5. Heart disease.
6. Healing wounds.
Toothpaste Ingredients:
1. 1/2 cup – Coconut Oil
2. 2 – 3 Tbsp – Baking soda
3. 1 Tbsp – Xylitol (blend into fine powder)
4. 10 – drops of Essential oil of your choice (ex. peppermint, orange, cinnamon)
Instructions:
1. Melt your Coconut oil on low heat. (I used a double boiler method)
2. Once the Coconut oil melts, remove from heat and stir in Baking soda.
3. Use a blender or coffee grinder to blend the Xylitol into a fine powder (helps it to dissolve easier)
4. Add the Xylitol. Taste to see if it sweet enough to your liking. Add more if you like.
5. Add Essential oils of your choice.
6. The mixture will solidify and often the Baking soda will settle to the bottom. Give your paste another stir to insure it’s mixed well.
**Attention: to avoid contamination, I suggest using another clean utensil each time to apply your toothpaste to your tooth brush.

As a woman, I am the portal to life on earth
God entrusted me to carry a child from conception to birth
Like a seed in the ground waiting for its first leaf to sprout, I Bloom
There’s not much food and my heart starts to weep…inside I have 5 children screaming
I’m ready to eat
So with a whisk and a spat, I created all of that Like a Thanksgiving Dinner, It Bloom
He was charming and spoke very well
He always held the doors and pulled out my chair.
He always sent kind messages wishing me farewells yet as soon as I conformed to his kindness…he disappeared out of thin air
The messages stopped and the phone didn’t ring I guess he was only searching for a winter fling
Yet Spring is around the corner and the birds are singing their favorite tunes
Like a blossoming flower….I continued to Bloom.
I read the Bible and study the word
It provides food to my roots and waters my soul
In ups and downs I stay a ground like a
determined flower with deep roots underground
I shall Bloom.

The Light
The Light…its available for all women to see, it brings more than free electricity and hot summer days of dry humidity. It gives hope when in despair like a lantern helplessly lit while walking down steep dark stairs. That leads to nowhere unless you create your path and stop settling for half, because its easy to grasp. You were created whole by the almighty Jehov and there is no excuse to share your soul with a man who already has a home. A wife and kids and a dog that barks whenever he comes home smelling like your tart. Choose the light and see yourself whole instead of settling for the dark and being forced to fold.
